Instructor – Forklift Truck Training

Job Description

The primary purpose of this job role is to:
• Facilitate the acquisition of skills and knowledge by the learners through instruction, demonstration and supervision within the learning environment
• Design, develop and maintain teaching resources to ensure the best experience for the learners.
• Maintain safe working practices and a safe environment for the learners
• Provide demonstration, instruction and training to learners to aid them in the acquisition of high quality and relevant industrial skills
• Contribute to the development of the curriculum to ensure the most up to date skills and techniques are being taught. With others, produce schemes and programmes of practical work which ensure topics are covered in a logical sequence
• Carry out daily and monthly health and safety checks on equipment and training facilities.
• Ensure you, the learners and visitors to the area are working in a safe manner, and in a safe working environment

Qualifications
• Maths and English qualifications to GCSE grade C or equivalent or ability to achieve.
• Qualified RTITB Lift Truck Instructor
• First Aid qualification or willingness to obtain
