Job Description
As a Lecturer in Education & Early Years at Starrycare, you will deliver high-quality teaching, assessment, and student support within childcare programs. You’ll play an active role in course planning, student engagement, and collaborating with team members to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as Programme Tutor, supporting student progress through targeted goal-setting and monitoring.
- Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching and tutorials across Education & Early Years courses, utilizing innovative methods and emerging technologies.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress, assessments, attendance, and related data.
- Collaborate closely with college managers and team members to foster a supportive learning atmosphere.
- Contribute to student discipline and morale, and address behavioral or attendance issues as needed.
- Participate in college events such as open days and parents’ evenings, with occasional evening flexibility.
- Support and adhere to Starrycare’s policies on equality, diversity, health and safety, safeguarding, and other relevant standards.
Education & Qualifications:
- Relevant qualification in Education & Childcare.
- Minimum GCSE grade C/4 in Maths and English (or equivalent).
- Assessor/IQA qualification (or willingness to obtain).
Work Experience:
- Experience working with children and young people in early years or education settings.
- Experience delivering NCFE/CACHE Childcare & Education qualifications.
- Experience with exam-based qualifications.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Teams and ProSolution/ProMonitor.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Ability to create a stimulating learning environment using available resources.
- Effective in managing student behavior and fostering a positive learning environment.
- Proficient with IT, administrative tasks, and record-keeping.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
