We are seeking Civil Enforcement Officers to join Central Bedfordshire Council’s parking enforcement team. As a Civil Enforcement Officer, you will ensure compliance with parking restrictions, issue penalty charge notices, and provide excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities:

  • Enforce parking restrictions and issue penalty charge notices
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, visitors, and businesses
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions (uniform provided)
  • Follow council policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
  • Collaborate with colleagues and partners
  • Represent the Council in a positive and proactive manner

Requirements:

  • Full clean Driving Licence (preferable)
  • Standard DBS clearance
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow processes and stay calm in conflict
  • Resilient and flexible
  • Ability to work shifts, including weekends
