Job Description

Starrycare is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Temporary Animal Management Lecturer to join our team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lectures and practical sessions in Animal Management.
  • Assess and evaluate student performance, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
  • Develop lesson plans and resources tailored to curriculum requirements and student needs.
  • Ensure health and safety compliance in all practical activities involving animals.
  • Act as a mentor, guiding and supporting students through their learning journey.
  • Contribute to the review and development of the Animal Management curriculum.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and incorporate them into teaching practices.

Requirements:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Animal Management or a related field.
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one.
  • Relevant experience working with a variety of animal species.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to providing an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
  • Experience in teaching or training is desirable but not essential.
